The friction plates are lined with 3M carbon based material; which is capable of withstanding higher temperatures; offers a higher coefficient of friction than anything else available today. The steel drive plates are ''Performance Steel™'' which have a surface Ra value (Roughness average) of just 2-10 micro inches. Regular steels have an Ra value between 15 to 25 micro Inches.
